Nevus of Ota with palatal involvement: a case report

چکیده

Nevus of Ota is a macular discoloration the face which most commonly found in Japanese and females are more affected than males. It first described by Tanino 1939, involves skin along distribution second division trigeminal nerve. Involvement palatal mucosa occurs rarely nevus Ota, it usually blends with oral typically irregular, undefined often present as mottled patch. We describe here case involvement 13-year-old Asiatic boy. His past medical history revealed presence lesion since birth. There were no other pigmented locations. The exact etiology still unknown but they have potential to undergo melanomatous change.
